I am looking for a used 22 for squirrels. Do not want to spend an arm and a leg. Looking local Philadelphia PA area

from the prices i've seen for used .22 rifles. you would be better off with a new one for just a few dollars more. plus you would have any warranty etc.

got myself a used rem. nylon 66. it shoots very vell most of the time, but sometimes the zero wonders. not going to take it hunting anymore, even though i did head shoot one ground squirrel at 80 yds. got some others as well, but don't trust it anymore.

I had one of those nylon 66's once. Once was enough. I couldn't keep it zeroed. I would sight it in for 50 yds, then the next day my zero would be off as much as 2 inches. I finally figured out that the barrel was moving in the stock. There was no possible way to mount it so that it wouldn't move except maybe epoxying the whole dang thing together.
