Two of us here in upstate NY drew archery elk tags for unit 9 (Mount Taylor area). I can ship my camp to Albuquerque and rent a SUV like I usually do when I hunt Colorado, but would consider using a guide or a drop-camp arrangement if a guide could set us up on Mt. Taylor. Anybody have someone to refer us to? Thanks.

Luke,

My suggestion would be to contact Rick Martin. Rick is a guide that is very familiar with the New Mexico elk scene. He is located in La Luz(near Alamagordo) but should be able to turn you onto a guide in the area that you drew on.

Rick can be reached at (505)434-6323. Leave a message, he is usually off hunting somewhere. I will be elk bowhunting in the Sacramento Mountains when you are up north.
