I bought a handi-rifle in 243 2 weeks before Christmas and have been working up loads for it with the 80 grain Hornady and the 100 gr Sierra. The accuracy that I have been getting is around 1.5 inch at 100 yards with a 5 shot group. The best accuracy I've seen is with Accurate 3100 and IMR 4350. The problem I have with 3100 is that it's about 200 fps slower than what the book says it should be. What powders have you been using and what kind of groups have you been getting? Dave in Minnesota

Don't know about A3100 but IMR4350 is a bit slow burning for a .243. It works great in my 25-06, But my brother who shoots a .243 Rem.VS tried it and never got much accuracy. He uses IMR4320 or IMR4064 and really light (60gr) bullets. I think his chronos at about 3600fps and I've seen him shoot 5 in one ragged hole at 100 yds. You may do well with IMR4831 too.
