#Does anybody know where i can sell used brass? I have everything from #'222-up from a handful to a bucket full. All of it is clean with no #rust.once fired.

I generally stay local with my promotions which means that when I ship the stuff it stays within the state. People know that I live in the SE corner of Michigan so some of them will pick up the bags of brass and some will pay for shipping.

You should have it seperated and counted. You should mention whether 'cleaned' means just that it has no sand or that it means washed and polished or tumbled.

Is your brass rifle or handgun? Or do you have both?

I work with handgun brass and have figured that if I have a lot of one particular caliber then there is little demand for it. I will send buckets of 9mm, 40S&W, and 38 Special to the scrap yard.

Talk to commercial reloaders in your area. Make friends with them and find out what calibers they are really looking for and which ones they would prefer not to have any more of.

Read the newsgroups looking for people who want to buy particular calibers. As an example I notice someone is looking for 10MM and I will contact him to find out if he wants 100 or 500 or 1,000 or even more. All communications at that point should be off-list.

Usually your local recycleing center buys it by the pound. I have a friend that goes out to the range and cleans up all the spent casings and returns them for cash. He usually gets a few hundred dollars a month doing it, but the range is also used for league shooting.

If he is picking up that much brass he is wasting a lot of money. He could be selling it as reloadable brass and surely that is worth more than scrap brass prices.

LouisB

Course I could be wrong about prices.

I have 4 five gallon buckets of 'bad' brass to carry with me one day and get shed of it!

Some calibers are so popular that there is buckets of the brass laying around which nobody wants. It might be reloadable but there is not enough of a market for the reloads. Around here that includes 9mm and 40S&W in handgun calibers. We just scrap the stuff.
