Anyone with any opinions on this rifle, specifically in 7mm-08 Stainless Steel Composite stock? Looking for a gun medium range deer hunting. Currently using Remington Model 7 in same caliber but is a little snappy for my taste. Thanks in advance from all.

Get it with the Walnut stock and forearm, it will be a little heavier. Or you can put some weight in the synthetic stock if you go that route. They are pretty light with synthetic. Should do anything you want out 200+ yds.

The Remington model 7s are real nice. If I where you I would modify it reduce the recoil.

1) Put a better recoil pad on your M7. 2) Use one of the past recoil pads that you wear. 3) Shoot lighter weight bullets. 4) Add one of the recoil reducers like people use for shotguns. 5) Add weight to your rifle. Change to a heavier stock - laminated would be good. Insert lead into the stock so your gun weighs more. 6) Put a muzzle break on your rifle. You will need to wear ear protection while hunting. Let me know what you decide to do. What caliber is your M7 ?
