I have Encore with 26' bull barrel. Blued. It's a T/C factory barrel. On my very first outing with a not so great scope I got a 1 inch group at 50 yards with cheap Sellier and Bellot ammo.

Get a rifle bull barrel.

Hope this helps.

Randy, Contender, Encore, or TCR? Rifle, carbine, handgun, or pistol? My experience with the 16 inch 223 barrel for the Contender carbine was mixed but then I never fed it anything special and used it with an aperture rear sight most of the time. My Encore spent a little time as a centerfire rifle, but in 270 Winchester. Worked great. I shouldn't expect any problems with a barrel in 223, but were I buying a 22 tube for mine it would be the 26 inch stainless 220 Swift from Cabela's. Good hunting! Michael
