Hi! I am curious about the Texas Dall Sheep. I've only seen a few pictures and it looks white with curvy horns. Does anyone have any information on what qualifies as a 'trophy' for this animal? I've noticed that some of the exotic game ranches have Texas Dall; however, they don't seem to elaborate about what would be considered a 'trophy class' animal. I would appreciate any information you may have. Good Hunting! Always, Gene Rector.

Gene, If you define trophy class as one at or near record book, I can point you to the Record of Exotics web page that defines the how to score a Texas Dall and their medal classifications. Most outfitters should be able to tell you if the rams are at least Bronze Medal class and the outfitter I used was pretty good at field judging the rams to within a point or two of their score. Good luck...
