Howdy! Do you know of any hunter and NRA friendly groups or organizations that support the re-introduction of Black Bear into far East Texas? If so, I would like to know about them. Thanks! Always, Gene

No I don't. They are occasionally seen along the Sabine River up here in Gregg County. I suspect the Sabine River bear sightings, which have been going on for years, originate from Louisiana. One was seen, and another road killed in Titus County about 2 winters back. The road kill had an Arkansas game and fish tag.
On another point of wildlife interest, panthers or what you want to call a large cat do live up this way. I don't mean bobcats either. They travel the creeks for miles from the Sabine. Dave
