Any reviews? I know Tasco used to have a bad rep, but this scope seems pretty nice.

These scopes are not bad at all. We have installed many of these in our November hunting season. The lenses look good, no trouble from recoil, and good eye releif. They have a fair price and I would suggest one if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

I have had several different Tascos and have had problems with all of them,I personally wouldn't buy another whatever the blurb from the company says.

I am on my 3rd Tasco World Class 3x9. I only paid for one; the other two are over-the-counter replacements for the ones that broke!

I don't use the scope for anything important. I don't trust it. The first one broke after about 40 rounds of 30-06. The second was on that '06 only as long as it took to scrimp together the dough for a Burris (in the middle of deer season, even, that's how little I trusted it). It only got about 40 rounds of '06, and then I put it on my .22 for a while, maybe 300-400 rounds. It broke. The 3rd one just went on my new AR15 until I get the open sights figured out (it's a flattop) or until I buy another Leupold 2.5x8 to replace the Burris with (for no good reason; the Burris is a good scope). Once that happens, the Burris becomes the AR scope (or whatever) and the Tasco goes to a dark and dusty corner of the safe. I will NOT buy another Tasco product. Life's too short!!

I agree, Tascos are kinda funny when the reticles starts rotating. Don't use Tasco on a heavy recoil rifle. Fixed power on 22. LRs is OK tho.

I have had three products (scopes and binos) and three failures in short order. These were purchased over a period of 10 years so it is not as if they were not given time to improve. Tasco is a dirty word around me and I am no enemy of moderate priced scopes. I have been happy with Simmons and Bushnell along with Redfield and Leopold.

Whoops! Where'd THAT come from?? I think the proper response is, 'I think I'll go with a Leupold' or a Burris... not just a DIFFERENT cheap scope! I think if you posted a question about the Bushnell (try it), you'd get equally bad reviews.

If you really, really can't afford $200 bucks for a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9, look at some fixed-power scopes. They are cheaper to manufacture, have a LOT less to go wrong, and you will get a better scope for your $75... I bought a Swift that I am very happy with so far. It's a 4x, which is a good choice, and i have it on a 30-30. So far it has held zero, not broken, and it's nice and bright and clear, even in low light. And the eye relief is quite amazing.

My next scope is another Vari-X III 2.5x8, which is a great scope...

Another new choice could be the VXI scopes from Leupold. Somewhat less expensive than a VXII ( which was recently upgraded ), they may be a better scope than a fixed power off-brand. But I know no one who has one, so their actual performance is unknown. However, being Leupold, I suspect they are a bargain for the price.

OK, I understand, Leupold is the best for the cash, however, I don't want to spend $249. A lot of hunting stuff is WAY expensive for someone who will hunt infrequently. Thats one reason I'm thinking Bushnell. $60 is way more to my liking, and I'll still have a better scope than was used to take out buffalo 100 years ago. Hell, I've have a better scope than my father used 20 years ago. Any suggestions for a moderately priced scope? Thanks for the input,

Look though a Swift- it comes in right between the cheepies and the good scopes in price, but it's much clearer than a Tasco or Bushnell.
