Looking for areas of public hunting land that have good habitat for fox squirells. Im just north of Dallas,TX and am willing to drive 75miles or more for a good spot. This fall I plan to drive around and scout for some new places.

JoBob, contact you're local Tx Parks and Wildlife office and ask about their AHP program (Annual Hunting Permit). for $40, it gives you access to literally thousands of acres of land, including very decent squirrel areas near Dallas. I live NE of Dallas out by lake Ray Hubbard, we get a permit every year, mostly for dove and waterfowl. check it out its a heck of a deal. The new year of course starts on Sept 1.
