Could you check and see if the 256 Win mag is listed under the pistol

If you are fishing for info on the 256 Win mag, you might do a web search for 'Martini'. The old single-shot 'Cadet' martini rifles were often rebarreled to this cartridge (and sometimes to its parent .357 Mag), because the rim is essentially the same size as the .310 cartridge they were originally chambered for, so the conversion didn't require any changes to the extractor.
