I live in suburbia but against some foothills. Frequently skunks go off on my block, stinking up everything. Some of the times, my dog will have soaked up the stench. Now im wondering if these skunks are getting into my backyard or if their spray is strong enough to drift over into my yard and set into my dogs fur? Can a skunk climb walls and trees like a cat or a racoon? Thanks in advance (I want to know because if these bastards are in my backyard i want to trap and kill them)

They more likely dig a hole under the fence if they get in. A skunk is more like a little badger with a racing stripe.

When you're successful be sure and write and tell *ALL* about it. 8>
