Can anyone recommend any public land in the Seattle Puget Sound area (I'm in Everett) that would be good (and legal) for doing some target shooting on? I'm aware of the public shooting ranges in the area, but would prefer to avoid that scene if possible.
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thx.

Since King county is not gun friendly you would have to go a long way east. Probably beyond North Bend

This side of the state is tough to find do it yourself target shooting opportunities. I would suck it up and join a shooting range. I think Tacoma Sportmans in Puyallup is about $70 a year. There are clubs in Sumner and up closer to Seattle too. With all the concern over "green" and polution etc from spent shells and noise it is just better to join the pack at the club. You'll spend more on gas trying to get out of town than just paying the dues and using the facilities. I had to swallow my pride and do it because I just didnt have enough time to drive to end of the road over here. Good luck
