I recently purchased a ruger 10/22 magnum. I was disappointed in the trigger pull. Very hard. The best group i got at 50 yds with 3 different brands of ammo was 3'. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Does anybody have any ideas on a good .22 mag rifle that is accurate to 100 yds?? I plan on selling this ruger as fast as i can get it sold...

The real problem lies in our litigation prone society and not in the trigger but the former will require a lot more work.

All triggers are heavy these days. You might consider a Volquartsen target hammer for your gun. Or a matched hammer and sear. With their HD action kit in my 10/22 LR the pull is a crisp 1.75lbs.

Their prohibition only affects dealers not individuals.

I have had a VERY good experience with the Savage 93FVSS. It's a synthetic-stocked, stainless, 21' bull-barreled tack-driver. If you don't mind the bolt-action (I like the accuracy) it can be had for $200 or less, and if you don't want the bull barrel, you can get the 93FSS for around $180.

I would consider a CZ. They have made a semi auto which was built like a military rifle (not by way of appearance - it was just very robust) and they currently make a bolt gun. I recently purchased a CZ527 in 223 and was very impressed with both the construction and accuracy.
