Rem 1100 Rem Choke Barrel Needed

I'm looking to put a bird barrel on my 1100. I have the 'Special Purpose' model that has a black synthetic stock and 'Matte' finish. I would like to put a bird barrel on that matches the 'matte' finish of the receiver. I was told by my local dealer that Remington makes a 'matte' Special Purpose 1100 Bird gun but doesn't sell that barrel alone. I don't want to put a blued barrel on a 'matte' receiver...Any help would be appreciated...

One possible solution is to buy the barrel you want in the glossy blued version, then take it to any competent gunsmith and have them matte the finish. A gunshop near me does it in a machine that 'beats' the barrel with glass beads. Saw a sample, looked good to me.

I'm pretty sure Cabelas has them. I know for certain that they have them for the 870. Give them a call.
