I was in my local Bass Pro/Outdoor World gear shop this weekend and saw a promotional package that had their house brand RedHead 3-9 x 40 rifle scope (usually $50) bundled with a 10x25 roof prism binoculars (usually $20) and a neat little belt carry case

Let's see, you spent $40 for a scope, a pair of binoculars, and a case for your camera. The scope alone normally sells for $50. There are literally tons of deer shot each season, using $29.95 cheapies, some of these lasting years.

Put it on your backup rifle, if you only shoot it a couple times a year, it's probably going to outlast you. I'd consider it this way, you got a $40 pair of binoculars and a camera case. Heck, I spend more than that a month on soft plastic lures for fishing.
