I recently moved to San Antonio, Texas and was wondering about the Quail population (if any) in this part of the country?

I don't know about San Antonio, however, there are lots of quail in the Big Bend area (SW Texas)

It's not bad, but you have to be in the right area for it. The numbers aren't nearly as good as they used to be - mostly due to the fire ant invasion. Also, the further west or south you drive from SA, the better it will be.
