I dont know how many of you guys read my original post (9-9-01 yea...i know). Anyway, today was the perfect chance to get rid of the offending peacock. It was right next to my garage door opening (2 car garage) sitting by a shrub. I snuck over and grabbed the daisy 130A (break barrel .177 pellet gun, not that strong)with a tasco 4x15 scope (10 bucks at wallmart). This gun is cheap but its really accurate. I clamped it to a work bench and covered it in sandbags when I sight it in...its dead on for close airgun ranges. Anyway, The range was close, about 10 feet. It saw me and jutted its head forward, pausing while it decided what to do. I put the hairs on its head, but decided to aim about 3 inches lower at the center of the neck. Eased on the trigger, shot was right on the money (pointed quicksilver pellet) because the large bird just dropped in his tracks, did not even flop or kick or anything! Must have broken the spine I suppose, when i went to retrive it, it was lying on its side with its mouth. Here is a pic ill upload in an hour or two, which should be up by the time dejanews posts this message.
