Does anyone know if the 'Velocity' numbers claimed for all the high speed steel shotgun loads (Winchester Supreme et al) are muzzle velocity or 3 ft velocity?
Ditto same question on most shotshell reloading formulas... is that muzzle or 3ft that are quoted?

It's not measured at the muzzle...the debris and flame could damage instruments at the muzzle. Actually the muzzle velocity is uaually measured 10' from the muzzle, not 3'.
