Here's the deal. 1. Deadline for permit app. 4/3/00 - subpermittee must be named on app. 2. Permit drawing in May 3. Hunt is Oct. 9 - 14 Either permit holder or sub. can shoot 1 moose I will pre-scout an area in whichever zone we get drawn for. (IF we do) I'll get us set up with a place to stay while we're hunting I'll have what we need for transport I'll arrange to have moose cut, packaged, and frozen. I'll pick ya up at Bangor Int'l Airport You gotta: (If we get drawn) Get to Bangor Bring a suitable weapon to kill a moose Cover hunt expenses You get to: Shoot the moose Keep head, horns, hide, etc. Keep half the meat Moose hunting in Maine is a real social occasion. Typically 4-10 people get together to go for various parts of the week. The way I do it is driving around on logging roads until ya see one to shoot. Nights are settin' arond camp drinkin' and tellin' lies. I'm 49 yrs. old, and out of shape, and we're looking at an animal that can go 1200 lb. on the hoof. That's why we road hunt. I've applied for permits since we started here and never been drawn Odds are with me. My wife applied for the first time last year and got drawn. I'm not looking for any money up front. All I want is someone to commit to that timeframe and cover expenses if we get drawn. Other wise I'll go by myself. So if you're honestly interested e-mail me and I'll give ya a breakdown on probable expenses.
