Learning Archery From Movies?

Can people learn archery through movies? This question was troubling me for quite a lot of time now, as I’m quite sure people can, if they practice enough on what they see, and they have some experience to start with.
There are two types of movies here - the youtube movies, in which people video themselves, in which naturally all moves and techniques are real. No doubt there is something the learn here.
And there are fiction movies or TV shows, such as Dae Jang Geum where you see actors playing archery. Take as an example the first episode of the Dae Jang Geum, which involved an archery contest. There were quite good shots, using a very interesting technique around.
The thing is that in high quality fiction movies and TV series they invest lot in teaching the actors techniques, getting the best teacher around. So yes, the actors might use easy to use bows, and their body is not fit to use a real bow, but still the technique they use is authentic, which brings me to think there is something to learn, even from a TV series.
