late rut???

Whats your quess as to when the ( 3rd ) rut comes in , ( in western pa.) I'm thinking the 3rd or 4th week in dec...what do you think??? smoke stick time!

According to what I saw/heard on a Marty Stoeffer show a few years ago... If a doe is not bred during the rut, she will come in heat a month later, if still not caught, she will come in heat a month after that. But by the third month, it will be less than one doe out of a thousand. From my experience, it seems that the big bucks are wary of the scent if it's not during the rut. They seem to have learned it's a smell associated with hunters. Of course you could get a horny spike who's curious.
