If you plan on hunting in Kansas and born after 1957 take a hunters Ed course in a different state. Kansas requires the course before you can obtain a license and the state dosen't provide enough courses. I do agree safety is a must but in this state you aren't considered safe enough unless you are at least 43 years old. Also, what about teenagers riding around on motorcycles without a helmet? Well, is that really safe?

An 'arbitrary line in the sand.' Since *you* didn't draw it, somebody else did.

Irrelevant.
