I shot a coyote that was bother my sheep and goats this morning. I used my trusty 03 springfield with 110 grain spire point hollow point pushed by 61 grains of Win 748 at 3500 fps. The only thing I found of the coyote was its head and hind quarters and tail.

The question is, 'Is it dead?'

No, of course not. It is still out there waiting for you to return.

I don't want to caLL YOU A LIAR. I believe that you probably shot a coyote. But do you really expect us to believe that all you found was it's head and hind quarters and tail? From one shot with a 110 grain bullet? 3500 feet per second or not the damage you describe is highly unlikely. Really now.
