George W. was in the AIR NG and was a commissioned officer and fully qualified pilot in the F-102 interceptor. You wouldn't have found him at a frat party except as an alumnus. You would have found him in an alert barn on 15 minute response.

REMF's were expected to have polished boots (spit shine, if far enough back)and pressed clothes were common in the rear areas, especially for the REAR areas. No defense of someone, one way or the other, but at least he went! Not like the, Liar-in-chief (now fully documented).
