I've been out with both Bay Praire Outfitters (HQ in Midfield, TX) and Texas Waterfowl Outfitters. Bay Praire was a class act - the weather worked against us, but the guide's scouting was good enough that our group of 7 averaged better than 3 birds each.

TWO, on the other hand, was not my favorite experiance. We got on with them as a season lease ($4,000 for our group), but when it came time to call in for hunting spots, they saved their scouted locations for their day-hunters. When we used one of their guides, our group of 5 totaled 1 bird (a Ross). I suspect that this isn't really a critisim of TWO as I suspect that all outfitters that attempt to do both guiding and leasing would have this conflict (unless they have 2 sets of property that are never used together).

For my money, I would only sign a lease with a group that only does leases, and would only go with a guide from a group that only does guided hunts. Imho, groups that attempt to do both will end up doing neither very well.
