After one shot, I'm having trouble with powder fouling in my T/C Encore 209X50. Second bullet very hard to seat. No fun when hunting. I'm using 80gr of triple seven powder and 240 gr. power belt. I clean with a dry patch to remove any excess oil before firing. I tried bore butter, no luck with that either.Anyone having same problem or suggestions.

Thats odd. From my experience with powerbelts they are very easy to seat/push down the barrel. That is compared to regular sabots.

Randy, I had the same problem last season using the 295 grain powerbelt and two 50 grain Pyrodex pellets. I was going to try a dab of Crisco in the hollowbase until you mentioned that Borebutter didn't help. Randy Wakeman, also of the list, did a bunch of testing last year; maybe he can help. Let me know if you sort it out. I'll do the same. Good hunting! Michael

I have found that baby wipes with lanolin works great for cleaning between shots. Cut the wipes into 1.5 to 2 inch squares and clean using a jag. The baby wipes clean the barrel quite nicely without leaving moisture in the barrel. The lanolin seems to act as a light lube. If you use Clean Shot for powder the barrel will be pristeen clean with just two swipes. Be careful not to use the wipes at the bottom of the container since they have a lot more moisture in them. They will leave moisture in the barrel. But if you use the 1st 1/4 of the container you will not have any problems. I discovered this on my own and have been using them for about 5 years. I even clean my guns with the wipes. Works great. Clean the gun and let it dry for a minute then oil. Baby wipes are cheap too.
Good luck! Kimball Tucker
