You can buy a manual form WASCO and it will give you the info your asking about. But as a old taxidermist I can tell you that most don't have the tools or skill to turn ears in the field. My suggestion is that you carry can of lysol with you and spray the hide and ears. Bacteria is what causes hair slipping so lysol will kill them for a short time. This is what I do when I get a hide thats a little rank and it has always worked for me Ira E. Young
