Hey,,, I was wondering what the differences would be between fall turkey hunting and spring. Are the calling and decoying techniques different? If so what would you do different? Thanks... Jim

Jim, In the fall you are hunting mainly family flocks and the main way of calling is to search and 'break up' the flock (seperate the birds) and call them back using lost calls or kee-kees. spring hunting is playing off of the mating ritual and the gobbler is the only target. One goes into the woods before sunup and listens for a gobbler gobbling on the roost and then moves to within a 100 yards or so to hopefully call the gobbler in after he flies down...(wide generalization)
