I fish Sam Rayburn quite a bit and would really like to get into duck hunting on the lake. Any info. regarding technique, location, etc., would be appreciated. Have done quite a bit of duck hunting in the Neches River marshes years ago, got away from it, would now like to learn/try Sam Rayburn. In the Neches marsh we had permanent blinds, etc. Would really be interested in lake technique, tips, trick, do's, don'ts.

Thanks for the response,

Bill Gier Vidor, Tx.

check with TPWD, I 'think' that Big Sam is on the APH program ($40 annual hunt permit). Be prepared to go to your spot early, at Cooper Lake last year we had hunters leaving for their spot a 11:30pm Friday before opening morning.
