I'm thinking about taking a group to the Stuttgart, AR area for some duck hunting this season and wanted to see if anyone had a recommendation for a guide service or camp.

We're willing to pay for great hunting, nice accomodations, and good food, but probably won't go 'over the top' and pay $500+ per day. Also, it would be great if we could find a place where we could do some hunting/shooting in the afternoon.

Any ideas?

Bunch of us hunted with Davey Crockett's service in Walnut Ridge. Great, great place. Guides work their tails off. Food's good and lots of it. rooms clean and warm. . Andy Byars 866-845-6949

Hugh,

I have accommodations at Wild Wings, 7 miles from Stuttgart, PRIVATE flooded timber, afternoon hunts in flooded fields/marshes. Very comfortable lodge, walk to the boat, 2 minutes to the blind, top notch guides and hosts. Wild Wings was a 20K / yr private club until last year. $325/day - lodging, meals, am hunt, guide, dekes, dogs, etc. PM duck, goose or deer.... Call me if you are interested and want more info.... There have already been restrictions on Fri-Sun guided hunts on management areas. Rumor has it that there may not be any guided hunts on WMA's period this coming season...I really don't see how they could restrict guided hunts on private ground without a heap of lawsuits

another thought.........

sure you can get a lawsuit going but if they make it a law that you cant guide period, wma or private......and your doing it.....that's breaking the law plain and simple.....hard to get a lawyer to back ya up on that one if your guilty........and i hate it because i have several friends that guide on private ground and 2 or 3 of them make a living doing that only.......fraid it's coming though
