Dog Training/Wireless Containment system

I know it's not about hunting, but I value this groups advice and knowledge. I recently bought an Australian Shepherd puppy(now 12 weks old) and am considering a wireless containment system for the yard. I have about an acre of property, but my neighbors don't care for dogs. Anyone with any experience in the Wireless type of containment systems who could give me some thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it .Also, I just bought a 700 bdl , chambered in .17 remington. Anyone know the value of this gun and /or have experience with this caliber.
