Matthew, I wouldn't consider this a failed hunt. I figure that any hunt that everyone makes it home in one piece and without injury is a successful hunt. Although, seeing/shooting what you're hunting for does make it that much better

The only 'failed' deer hunting day I remember it was about 15 degrees out, and the wind was doing about 35mph. I gave up and went home. There were many other days I went home empty handed, but that was the only 'failed' day I remember.
