Yes - it's a fine, well-priced rifle. Accurate and reliable. My best hunting mate has had one in .308 for years (wood/blued) and has had no problems at all.

It's not the prettiest or most highly finished piece of ordnance around, but it's a great workhorse.

The reputation of BRNO/CZ rifles here in England is that they are solid, reliable rifles which give a lifetime of service. They are not, however, popular among the target shooting and rifle tuning communities who tend to see them as 'a bit of a farmer's gun'.

I don't believe I'm being dishonest in my perception here, merely reporting it.

The .22 rimfires tend to have a bigger market share here than do the centrefires.
