I would like to hear from those of you who own a Benelli Nova (or have some experience with one). I bought mine this spring for turkey hunting. Overall, I've been very impressed. The fit and finish are superb (not that there's much finish). The action is smooth, and it cycles *flawlessly.* The trigger, on the other hand, is absolutely abysmal. I'd like to smack some engineer for allowing such a trigger to leave the factory.

My gun patterns even better than my 835, which I thought was damn near unbeatable. I've had exceptional luck with Winchester HV 3.5' #5's and a Comp-N-Choke XXX ported turkey choke.

I've noticed that quite a few people are knocking this gun, and, for the life of me, I can't figure out why. Anyone care to join in?

Chris, My hunting buddy bought one last year as they were introduced. He spent $75 on an aftermarket turkey choke, and does it shoot. The first time I shot it, I was aiming at a standard sheet of Paper, 8.5X11, on a 1 X 4, It exploded the 1 X 4 at 25 yards. Paper looked like a golf ball went thru it.

Nice gun - choke combo.

Has killed three turkeys already, 2 last year and one this past monday on the opener.

Amazing. Mine has performed flawlessly thus far. I would really like to see a Nova eject two shells at once. I can't imagine mine jamming, either.
