Bears Feet

I am looking for a product I think are called Bear's Feet. These are covers that are fleese lined that go over your boots when stalking to help you walk quieter when stalking. I have always just took my boots off and stalked in my sock feet but the area I will be hunting this year has lots of catus and thorns (and even snakes). I remember seing these at one time but have not been able to loacte a place to order them. Anybody else ever try this product?

Cabelas has them listed in their Archery catalog page 167 for $29.95 original or $39.95 for Scent-loc. They call them Baers Feet. Never tried them. They can be reached at www.cabelas.com or 1-800-237-4444.

I have a pair. They are actually called 'Baers Feet' (after the manufacturer, I think). You can order them from Cabelas among others. I found them to work fairly well in dry conditions, but I made the mistake of using them in a pretty wet/somewhat muddy area last year; They quickly gathered mud and sticks and became a great nuisance. I do have a squeaky stand that I wear them in and it eliminated the awful sound of rubber on metal. That's about my only use for them since the mud incident. Hope that helps.

You have another option. Orvis makes a very durable wading boot with a felt sole. These boots are ideal for walking in damp and rocky areas.
