I'm looking for a hunting guns or a guns and hunting type magazine. Most mags deal with guns or hunting seperately, so you end up with lots of articles about IDPA and concealed carry guns or on the other hand you get all hunting stories and no real firearm talk. There has got to be a Hunting and Hunting Guns type magazine out there. Seems like I saw one years ago with about that same name? Any knowledge about it or others? Thanks guys.

I Like,,,'Petersen's Hunting' it has a so-so mix of both gun's and hunting. 'Deer&Deer hunting' is another one that i like.

BTW,,,,,,,Are you just interrested in gun's or guns n bows? IF you are into bows, then i think 'bow masters' would be a good mag to read.

Just my 2 scents.

Over the years I have subscribed to several hunting and outdoor magazines and have settled on Shooting Times which has a lot of info on new guns, reloading, hunting, and I think is the best. I also take Guns and Ammo, which has lots of info about handguns and some info on rifles. I used to take Hunting magazine which was a great mag about hunting and had some info on guns too.

I really like Washington-Oregon Game and Fish it pertains to critters in the west (unlike all the other rags that spout white tale hunting to no end - our are protected so go figure). They have various area related magazines in the Game and Fish Series check
http://www.gameandfishmag.com/

to see if they have one for your area. The concentrate more on the hunt and fish side of the sport than the equipment, but they do cover that as well.

Others have said it to Peterson's and Shooting Times are the next best

I subscribe to Peterson's 'Hunting'. I feel it has a good mix of hunting and firearms.

Also look at 'Handloader' magazine. Even if you dont handload, yet, the information on understanding bullet performance, and design, can be very helpfull. It currently is my favorite gun rag.
