I have experimented with every kind of gunpowder from FFFFG to Reloader 22 and can state unequivocally that Hi-Skor 700 X makes the finest smelling gunsmoke.

Never did care for 700-X when I tried if for handgun loads. Could not get any kind of consistent accuracy. Never did try it for shotgun.

Try some cast bullets that are lubed with an Alox/Beeswak mix for a great smelling gunsmoke. At least that is what the guys say when it is my turn at the bowling pin matches.
